DIGITAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Description
Flying Cork Media, a growing strategic marketing communications firm, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of a full-time Digital Business Development Manager to help grow the digital business and bring in new clients. This individual will lead Flying Cork Media’s Digital Business Development efforts and be responsible for attaining the company’s sales plan objectives and profitability. Business Development is responsible for managing new business initiatives on a national level. Flying Cork Media’s Business Development team is responsible for prospecting, pitching and closing new business.
Responsibilities
- Develop new digital business opportunities through prospecting, cold calls, networking events and client activities
- Develop and prepare new client pitches including presentations, proposals and RFP responses
- Drive the digital business development process after initial lead to deal closure
- Manage the operations of the digital business development including accountability for monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Build the new client relationship; identify/seek key organizational decision-makers
- Serve as primary point of contact: control information flow and content, facilitate and drive meetings during business development outreach
- Identify high potential clients/industries, develop pipeline and develop tailored acquisition strategies with potential client list
Qualifications
- B.S or B.A. degree required; MBA preferred
- A minimum of 5-7+ years of applicable work experience required
- New business development/sales for an agency or digital marketing company required
- Marketing / strategy experience (online and offline) highly desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of the techniques of an interactive marketing agency
- SEO / SEM experience strong plus
- Proven experience in building and developing high-performance sales teams and skill in leading cross-functional business/technology teams
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to devise compelling business strategies backed by quantitative analysis/ROI projections
- Demonstrated technical skills and ability to understand/present technology based products
- Must have demonstrated strong communication skills and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills: must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deals
- Proven track record of leading people to achieve strong financial performance and profitability
