BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Description

Flying Cork Media is a growing strategic marketing communications firm that is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of a full-time Business Development Manager to help grow the business and bring in new clients. The position leads the business development team through all aspects of business development from setting sales goals, to identifying client prospects to pitching new client leads.

Responsibilities

  • Work with FCM leadership to establish short-term and long-term sales goals
  • Direct business development team on sales process, approach and pitch strategy
  • Provide weekly analysis in order to manage performance levels of sales against market developments and company objectives
  • Manage the performance and activities of the business development staff
  • Develop sales leads through cold calls, networking events and client activities
  • Drive new business and build relationships with prospective clients from initial contact through close
  • Develop proposals, review and respond to RFPs
  • Integrate sales leads information project management system to track leads
  • Coordinate and conduct weekly sales meetings with business development team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree
  • 5+ years experience, Agency experience a must
  • Previous management experience required
  • Proven track record in reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
  • Experience in developing sales strategies and performance metrics
  • Broad experience in marketing communications with an understanding all forms of advertising including new forms of media
  • Ability to effectively manage time, reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
